Secondly as GHL uses Amazon Web Services and the data leaves the UK, GDPR requires legal safeguards. This relies on the standard contractual clauses to legitimise the transfer, which is normal practice for Saas product.
Next it comes down to how you use the product in terms of consent and marketing. If you use email marketing, SMS, Whatsapp, lead capture forms etc. you must obtain lawful consent from contacts. The platform allows this and you just need to design in clear opt-in on forms, unsubscribe links and records of consent stored in the CRM. Because you can export data from GHL, you will need a process in please to cover GDPR requests / data deletion, but I assume you have these in place.
